Ho Chi Minh City barbershop icon Barbershop Vu Tri has opened its 14th location in District 7.
Brothers Vu and Tri literally brought the family business started by their father in off the street back in 1992, making it possibly the longest running barbershop business in Ho Chi Minh City, perhaps even in all of Vietnam.
Their father still plies his trade on the sidewalk just 100 metres or so down the street from the brothers’ original shop off Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street in District 3.
The latest addition to the barbers’ string of branches is conveniently located on Le Van Luong Street in District 7, just off busy Nguyen Thi Thap Street.
Expect the same quality services and prices.
There have been a few changes, however, with their branding.
The new shop sports a more industrial look on the outside, doing away with their traditional black and yellow colour palette in favour of silver and grey.

Their legendary lion logo has also been revamped to an edgier look with sharper lines and a steelier-than-ever-stare that enhances the overall brand significantly – it’s very cool.
Inside, the teal and grey colours found throughout other Barbershop Vu Tri branches remains.
Another big difference is space – somehow this one feels the most spacious of the lot with fewer chairs, more natural light and a sofa in the centre of the “cutting room” floor.
Out back, the wash area has more space than usual as well.
Branch number 14 is open daily from 9am to 7.30pm with prices ranging from VND10,000 for a shave, VND80,000 for a cut, and up to VND230,000 for a perm (yes, blokes still get them…apparently).
