EATING VIETNAM | Banh what?! Banh Khot in Vung Tau!

Vũng Tàu is known for its bánh khọt – crispy little deep-fried heavenly discs made from rice flour and coconut milk batter topped with shrimp (tôm) or squid (mực), shallots, shrimp powder, fresh herbs and wrapped in lettuce and mustard leaves and usually eaten for breakfast.

In this video, Matt hits up a mum and pop bánh khọt shop a little bit off the beaten track from the regular tourist beat and discovers they’re cooking up some of the best in town!
