After all the walking around and sightseeing in Part 2, Matt has worked up an appetite.
In Part 1, Matt had breakfast at Sadec market in the centre of town, but in this video, he searches a bit wider and visits three places that offer some exciting eating experiences.
So join him as he hops into some piping hot mi hoanh thanh (wonton noodle soup) at Chi Ky by the river where they’ve been serving it up for over 80 years.
He then goes in search of a banh mi snack with a difference at Giao Lien, done French style with pate and “steak de beouf” washed down with a nip of ruou nho (wine).
Then last, but not least, he hits up an institution in Sadec – Hu Tieu Ba Sam – where they serve up a local style of hu tieu (noodle soup) at the crazy price of VND8,000!
And, it’s actually very good, only if you can get a seat at this popular little eatery!
Oh, and one more thing.
There’s a WARNING attached to this video – don’t watch it in public because drooling tends to attract unwanted stares!
Enjoy!
