The eagerly-awaited winter pop-up exhibition of modern and ancient wonders by renowned and popular Saigon-based sketch artist Richie Fawcett opens to the public on Dec.19th.
In what has been a monumental year for the British sketch artist from The Studio Saigon – which has included live sketch performances and exhibitions locally and abroad – this will be his final exhibition to close not just the year but the decade, with the title fittingly being “TIME”.

Fawcett’s exhibition on one side of the space will feature a collection of black and white prints from the Studio Saigon archive collection representing the modern-day city of Ho Chi Minh as drawn by him at various stages of its development over the last seven years.
This body of work is contrasted with the opposite side of the room where a collection of images that have been created this year on sketch expeditions to both Angkor Wat and Myanmar will juxtapose the decay and spectacle of these once thriving kingdoms with those of Ho Chi Minh City.
The TIME exhibition will be showcased in the upper room of Into The Kitchens, a modern European restaurant owned and operated by well-known Italian Chef, Ivan Barone.
Into The Kitchens is located in a charming courtyard at 158/5 Nguyen Cong Tru Street, District 1 (opposite the well-established Biker Shield Bistro), which is a fitting location to compare and contrast the vestiges of time over tapas and a glass of wine.
TIME will run until Spring 2020.
