The Bureau and Barbershop Vu Tri now offer The Bureau Experiences – the most authentic Vietnamese barbershop experience there is in Ho Chi Minh City.
The Bureau Experiences is targeted at men (both living here and visiting) in Vietnam’s largest city who want to look sharp but do it in style.
The Bureau Experiences is the brainchild of a partnership between The Bureau and the legendary Barbershop Vu Tri, a brand that has been in the men’s grooming game since 1992.
Brothers Vu and Tri (pictured centre above) followed in their father’s footsteps into barbering and then brought the family business literally in off the street, and as they say, the rest is history.
Remarkably, their father still chooses to barber on the sidewalk just metres from Barbershop Vu Tri’s original shop near the city centre. It’s quite a story.
The idea behind The Bureau Experiences concept came because the partners wanted to offer experiences beyond the usual cultural site visit, tired stage performance or cooking class.
Ho Chi Minh City lacks the tourist attractions that many other popular cities have around the world, but it’s a city that once you scratch the surface, reveals the hidden charm that people have talked about for centuries.
And the bonus is, The Bureau has done all the scratching for you. All you have to do is make the booking and we’ll take care of the rest.
There are a number of experiences the gents can choose from depending on time, budget and whether or not it’s an individual or group experience.
In all, there are five starting from a basic cut, hair wash and shave up to the true VIP experience which, in addition to the full range of barbershop offerings, includes add-ons like a craft brewery visit, tailor and happy hour drinks somewhere off the beaten track if desired. Tattoo anyone?
There’s also the option to create your own experience, which The Bureau will do all it can to get sorted so you can have the most unique experience possible.
The VIP room is comfortably appointed and has been specially designed for a more exclusive experience, something you could spend hours in.
It’s decked out with polished floorboards, sofas, a handful of barber’s chairs, music and, of course, a small bar at one end of the room that’s always open and stocked with beer and plenty of Wild Turkey bourbon whisky to loosen the party up and get the bromance flowing.
After that, who knows where the evening will lead?
