This May marks the official release of Caravelle Saigon’s newly-renovated guest rooms that they are extremely excited to share with you. Fast forward 60 years and Caravelle Saigon starts its birthday celebrations this year by flinging open the doors to their new rooms in the Opera Wing on floors 8 to 12. These start at approximately 38.5sqm (415sqft) in size with spacious walk-in vanities and bathrooms beautifully finished with imported marble throughout. Large soundproof windows stream in natural light and offer guests unparalleled views across the heart of the city, including the historic Opera House on one side and glimpses of the meandering Saigon River on the other.

Caught up in the tumult of conflict for almost two decades following its opening, Caravelle Saigon became a home for journalists covering the war, soldiers looking for some much needed R&R, and even Australian and New Zealand Embassies as a place of work.

The centrepiece of Caravelle Saigon’s event floor upgrade is the Caravelle Ballroom comprising 300sqm of floor space with a ceiling height of 4.7 metres. The ballroom can be arranged into different configurations depending on the occasion and can cater up to a maximum of 400 people.
The beautifully-appointed ballroom with plush carpets, comfortable seating and remarkable surround-sound acoustics, can also be conveniently divided into two separate event spaces if needed by a retractable wall. The four smaller Opera Rooms overlooking the city’s historic Opera House have also been freshly upgraded. The large floor-to-ceiling windows in each room allow natural light to flood in and offer stunning views across the heart of the city.
All function rooms are fitted out with the latest in lighting and AV equipment supporting up to 4K and Ultra HD to ensure optimal guest experiences when attending events. In addition, separating the Caravelle Ballroom and the Opera Rooms is the newly-updated 180sqm Pre-Function Area that when added to the mix, increases the combined floor space of the ballroom and event rooms substantially. The area also provides an elegant and convenient breakout space during conventions and other large functions for attendees to catch-up or network over canapés and drinks.
