Saigon’s Original German Restaurant Turns 27

Vietnam

Gartenstadt Restaurant is celebrating its 27th anniversary on May 11 and 12 with a fantastic 50% off classic dishes, including German sausages, schnitzel and roast pork knuckle.

Located on bustling Dong Khoi street since 1992, Gartenstadt, also known as Duc Bao Restaurant, has always been a popular spot for locals and expats who love traditional German food.

Gartenstadt has contributed to introducing new and unique German cuisine from Germany into Vietnam, as well as creating new flavours to match Vietnamese tastes.

Featured dishes that have contributed to Duc Bao’s brand over 20 years include sausage, pork knuckle and sauerbraten. Gartenstadt is also home to imported Schneider Weisse and Krombacher beer, as well as a large collection of choice schnapps.

Step into Gartenstadt and you will immediately notice its long teakwood bar designed in the Bavarian style to create the feeling of a traditional German restaurant.

Gartenstadt features spacious seating in a traditional German atmosphere with unique Bavarian decor. In addition, private dining options are available on the second floor, including balcony seating overlooking scenic Dong Khoi Street.

Gartenstadt is at 34-36 Dong Khoi St., District 1, HCMC and is open daily from 10.30am to midnight
